Fjarðarheiði is a hill and the highest point on road no. 93 Seyðisfjarðarvegur, connecting the port town of Seyðisfjörður with the eastern Iceland capital, Egilsstaðir. On this part of the road, at an altitude of 620 meters above sea level, extreme weather conditions are often present, which is why the road is frequently impassable, especially during the winter months.
