The campsite in Hafnarfjörður is located in Viðistaðatún Park, quite close to Reykjavik, only a 10-minute drive from the city center and 30-40 minutes from Keflavik International Airport. It lies in a quiet and pleasant Viðistaðatún Park, just a 5-minute walk from the center and the beautiful harbor in Hafnarfjörður. Nearby, there are shops, services, and city transport stops, including a direct bus to Reykjavik.
The campsite offers all essential amenities—restrooms, showers, washing machine, Wi-Fi, as well as hot and cold water. The area is child-friendly, surrounded by sculptures and lava formations. Hafnarfjörður, the third largest city in Iceland, is known for its fishing history and local legends about the “Hidden People”—elves and other magical beings that are said to inhabit the local boulders.
There is also a playground in the local park for both young and older children.
