Kerið

Kerið is a beautiful 3,000-year-old crater with a lake at its bottom. The crater is famous for its distinctive red slopes and turquoise water.

You can take a walk around the crater and down to the lake, but there is an entrance fee to access the site.

Kerið crater is located just off Route 35, about 16 kilometers north of the town of Selfoss.
