Keflavík is a beautiful bay located on the southwestern tip of the Westfjords, between the Látrabjarg cliffs and the Rauðisandur beach. Unlike the nearby red beach, the sand here is both light and dark, creating an interesting effect. The river Keflavíkurá flows into the ocean in the bay. Access to the bay is only possible with large off-road vehicles. There is also a rescue station here for emergencies.
