Heinabergslón is a relatively unknown glacial lagoon located in front of the Heinabergsjökull glacier tongue. The lagoon is composed exclusively of meltwater, making it very cold. Due to its gentle and easily accessible shore, it is a popular spot for kayaking among the glaciers. Although it may not seem like it at first glance, it is more than 100 meters deep. Heinabergslón is situated about 40 kilometers west of the town of Höfn, and restrooms are available at the local parking lot.
