Harpa

Harpa is a multifunctional building, home to the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra, and is considered one of Reykjavik’s architectural icons due to its unique design.

In addition to the concert hall, it hosts numerous exhibitions and presentations of Icelandic culture, serves as a conference venue, and is a popular stop for tourists, who particularly appreciate the restrooms in the building’s basement.

In a way, it also stands as a symbol of the financial crisis at the end of the 2000s.

You can find the Harpa building right on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, offering views of the harbor through its glass facade.
