Skjòl campsite

Although this camp’s subtitle is ‘In the Middle of Nowhere’ – as its owner named it – it is actually located in the Golden Circle zone, right between the famous Icelandic attractions, Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall. Established in 2014 as a backpacker camp, it has rapidly expanded with the surge in tourism, now featuring a cozy bar and hostel. Additionally, it is now open year-round.

You can find Skjòl Camp right on Road 35, near the intersection with Road 30, halfway between Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall.
