The Rauðsdalur campsite is located on the southern shore of the Westfjords, right by the beach in Breiðafjörður bay with absolutely stunning views of the Snæfellsnes peninsula and the Snæfellsjökull glacier. There are basic facilities available, and there used to be a shower, which will hopefully be reinstated someday. The price is very reasonable.
It is only 14 kilometers to the geothermal pool Hellulaug and 8 kilometers to the Krosslaug swimming pool.
