Bólstaðafoss – a waterfall on an unnamed river, which, according to maps, is not very long and, after appearing above the waterfall, disappears underground again shortly below the waterfall. There is no strong current here; the water simply flows calmly over the rocky substrate. Below the waterfall is a small lagoon, so if you are very hardy, you can swim here. The absolutely clear water is fascinating. About 500 meters from the waterfall, there is a parking lot accessible via an unmarked dirt road.
