Even though it stands no more than 5 meters high, Bláfjallafoss is one of those beautiful waterfalls you can view up close from all sides. A ford on the F232 road crosses just above its edge. So, if you’ve ever seen a photo from Iceland with a car fording a river right next to a waterfall, it was likely taken here.
Bláfjallafoss is located right by the F232 road, and it could be said without exaggeration that it’s just a few meters downstream from the F232 and right below the Öldufell mountain. There’s a small parking area just past the waterfall, so you can take a break and enjoy this beautiful spot.
