Fagrifoss waterfall

Fagrifoss (Beautiful Waterfall) is an 80-meter high and relatively powerful waterfall on the Geirlandsá River. What is interesting about this waterfall is that it doesn’t look 80 meters high at all, both in photos and in reality.

You can find Fagrifoss on the way to the Lakagígar area, and it is a common stop for tourists heading there. Just before the waterfall, there is a river ford, so a 4WD vehicle is necessary. From the parking lot, it takes less than 5 minutes to reach the waterfall.
