The campsite almost on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean in Akranes is just the average Icelandic campsite, with showers, washing machine and a small shelter where you can hide from the weather. Wallet-friendly is the nearby Bónus supermarket, where you can buy gear for your next trip cheaply by Icelandic standards. For cheap petrol, there’s the OrkanX petrol station.
If you drive, as I assume, along road 51, the campsite will be on your right.
