Borgarsandur is an almost 2-kilometer long black beach located east of Sauðárkrókur on the shores of Skagafjörður. The island you can see in the distance is Drangey. You can park either at the western end of the beach or at the turnoff to the old bridge. However, be very careful not to get your car stuck!
