The tunnel through the Arnardalshamar rock on road 61 is the oldest road tunnel in Iceland. It facilitates travel between Ísafjörður and Súðavík, measuring 30 meters in length, and was opened in 1948.
About 500 meters before the tunnel in the direction of Ísafjörður, there is a small rest area with an informational board.
