Hengifoss is not only one of the highest waterfalls in Iceland, but also this beautiful 30-metre high waterfall on the Hengifossá River in the area of Neskaupstaður.
The river falls into a small canyon and you can admire the falling water from the other side.
The waterfall can be reached on foot in about 30 minutes, when you can park for a while in a convenient spot in a built-up area along the Seldalur road.
