A popular campsite in the Hornstrandir area is definitely the one on the shores of Hornvík Bay. You’ll find a manager willing to offer advice (he is there if the flag is displayed), plenty of space for tents, and a very unusual and pleasant feature – a standard European toilet and running water.
The site is an amazing base for both shorter and longer trips in the northern part of the Hornstrandir area, especially the famous cliffs of Hornbjarg.
There is also an emergency shelter in close proximity to the campsite.
